Ouachita Baptist University has joined hands with UALR’s William H. Bowen School of Law through the Pathway Program. This initiative ensures that qualified students from Ouachita are guaranteed admission to the law school.

This partnership is part of a broader effort to increase opportunities for exceptional students in Arkansas. The program allows Ouachita students to stand out by leveraging their strong academic performance and demonstrating a commitment to pursuing legal education.

Eligibility criteria include completing undergraduate studies from Ouachita and meeting certain academic requirements. This includes maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4 and scoring above 154 on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). Students must also have no character issues that would bar them from being admitted to the bar.

Benefits of the Partnership

This partnership opens the door to early mentorship, networking, and research opportunities for Ouachita students. The direct pathway to law school helps students strategically plan their academic and professional development, ensuring a smoother transition into their legal careers.

UALR’s Bowen School of Law is committed to fostering a strong legal workforce in Arkansas. This partnership contributes to the broader aim of enhancing the state’s legal landscape by offering accessible and high-quality education to talented students.
