Seis Puentes Continues to Foster Community Support with Expanding Annual School Event
In an ongoing endeavor to empower the Hispanic community in Central Arkansas and North Little Rock, Seis Puentes is gearing up for its annual back-to-school event. This event is open to the public and promises to be a lively affair, with free backpacks handed out in a drive-through style at Ridge Road Elementary. Each car can receive up to three backpacks, ensuring that more students are equipped for the new academic year. Additionally, participants will also have the chance to get free back-to-school haircuts, further easing the financial burden on families with multiple children.
Last year, Seis Puentes delivered over 516 backpacks and 50 free haircuts, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to supporting local families. This year, the nonprofit plans to expand its delivery, aiming to reach even more students and provide them with the essential school supplies necessary for a successful academic year. The event not only provides practical support but also fosters a sense of community among the families it serves.
Seis Puentes is a multifaceted organization offering a range of services, from ESL lessons and children’s art programs to financial literacy and digital literacy workshops.
