Seis Puentes Hispanic Outreach Center Spreads Joy Through Back-to-School Giveaway
This weekend marked a fantastic event for the Hispanic community in Central Arkansas and North Little Rock. Seis Puentes Hispanic Outreach Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is hosting its annual back-to-school giveaway.
The event took place on Saturday, August 12, at Ridge Road Elementary School. The giveaway featured a drive-through backpack distribution with a limit of three bags per car. Additionally, free back-to-school haircuts were available inside the school.
This initiative is especially meaningful for families struggling to prepare their children for the new school year. North Little Rock School District teacher and ESL specialist Lisa Harrison expressed her gratitude, noting that this kind of support makes a significant difference for families with multiple children.
Last year, Seis Puentes distributed over 516 backpacks and provided more than 50 free haircuts. This year, the organization aims to expand its outreach and services even further.
For those interested in volunteering or donating to the cause, contact information is available through Seis Puentes. The organization is dedicated to empowering the Hispanic community through various programs, including ESL lessons, financial literacy workshops, a food pantry, and more.
Seis Puentes is a vital bridge, connecting families with resources and supporting their every need.
