Search for Missing Sherwood Teen Continues; Neighbors Express Shock and Concern
Sherwood residents were left stunned when they learned that 17-year-old Anna Simon went missing on June 5. Her disappearance has sparked an intensive investigation led by the Arkansas State Police, who are working tirelessly to locate the teenager.
Anna was last seen around 11 PM on Wednesday night, and her car was discovered in a residential area on North Longfield Avenue less than an hour later. The car, a crucial lead in the investigation, contained her phone and keys, adding to the mystery of her disappearance. Neighbors were particularly surprised by the presence of the car in the normally quiet area.
Local resident Keith Saba recalled his experience when the police visited him. “They came to my doorstep and asked if I had noticed anything unusual or if there was a young lady in my house,” he said. “They also asked me to examine a car parked next to the curb by my residence.”
Anna had left her workplace, Shotgun Dan’s Pizza, at 10:30 PM and stopped by Raising Canes in North Little Rock around the same time. The search for any additional leads continues.
Support for Anna’s family has poured in from the community. Neighbors like Latrina Blade expressed their hope for a positive outcome and their empathy for the family’s anguish. “This neighborhood is usually quiet, and it’s rare for anyone to be cruising down our street,” she said. “I sincerely hope that Anna is found soon and that she is safe. I can only imagine the pain her family must be going through.”
The Arkansas State Police are urging anyone with information about Anna’s whereabouts to contact the Sherwood Police Department at 501-835-1425.
As the search for Anna continues, her family and the community remain hopeful for a safe return. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of staying vigilant in the face of the unexpected.
