The Tjuana Byrd Internship Program: Empowering Women of Color in STEAM Fields

The Women’s Foundation of Arkansas is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics by launching the 2024 Tjuana Byrd Summer Internship Program. Named after their first Black president, Honorable Tjuana Byrd Manning, this 12-week program aims to increase representation of women of color in these fields.

This comprehensive program offers a unique blend of professional development, mentorship, and practical experience, providing a strong foundation for these young women to prosper in their chosen careers. By partnering with local companies, the internship program ensures that participants gain valuable insights and practical skills directly applicable to the industry.

  • Free housing provided for the duration of the program
