Bella Vista Fire Station 1 Entrance Closes for Construction in Remodeling Project

Bella Vista Fire Station 1’s entrance at the Town Center has been closed indefinitely due to ongoing construction as part of a significant remodeling project.

The closure aims to facilitate the remodeling work, which involves renovating the former two-story police building adjacent to the fire station to accommodate on-duty firefighters in the new Central Fire Station.

A key aspect of the project is the construction of a two-story addition that will provide over 6,600 square feet of office space. The top floor will be occupied by fire administration, while the bottom floor will house city administration, including Community Development Services.

While the entrance is closed, residents are encouraged to call the station first if they need assistance during business hours. If an in-person visit is necessary, residents should call ahead so staff can expect them and let them in. For emergencies after hours, residents can either dial 911 or use the phone in the red box in front of the ambulance bays, which directly connects to dispatch.

The City Council has approved a contract amendment with Clinard Construction Management, bringing the total cost of the project to .3 million. Despite the disruption, parking remains available at the city administration building.

The remodeling project is a significant investment in the city’s infrastructure and will provide much-needed facilities for both fire and city administration. The new Central Fire Station promises to significantly enhance the working conditions and capabilities of the fire department.
