Bentonville Extends Daily Lane Closure

The city of Bentonville is extending the daily lane closure on a city street through the end of September. This closure is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements designed to alleviate traffic congestion along key routes.

The closure impacts the northbound curb lane on N. Walton Boulevard between NW 2nd Street and NW 3rd Street, which will be closed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. between August 26 and September 8. This closure facilitates the installation of a new curb and gutter as part of the N. Walton Family Project.

In addition to the N. Walton Boulevard closure, other areas of Bentonville will also experience lane restrictions. For instance, the eastbound and westbound lanes at the intersection of SE Walton Boulevard and Medical Center Parkway will be limited to right-turns only from August 27 to November 18. This is part of a broader project to introduce dual left-turn lanes and dedicated right-turn lanes along Medical Center Parkway, aiming to significantly reduce traffic delays.

Further roadwork is happening on various streets, including NE J Street, where the northbound lane between NE 10th Street and NE Halifax Place will be closed until September 4, and SE Moberly Lane, where the northbound lane between East Avenue and 3rd Street will be restricted until December 13. These closures are primarily for stormwater management upgrades and ongoing road construction.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid these areas of roadwork and minimize disruptions to their daily routines.
