Bentonville Public Library to Close for Four Weeks in Final Expansion Stretch

The Bentonville Public Library has announced it will be closed for four weeks, from September 29 to October 27, in order to complete the home stretch of its ongoing expansion project. During this period, the library will focus on moving into its newly expanded spaces and reorganizing the existing areas to integrate with the new construction.

This closure marks a critical phase in the project, which aims to significantly enhance the library’s offerings and improve the overall user experience.

Main Goals of the Expansion Project

  • Expansion of the children’s department with a new, larger storytime space and craft area
  • A reimagined teen zone with study and collaboration spaces
  • Multi-purpose activity room (makerspace) for all ages
  • Additional meeting and collaboration rooms for community use
  • Outdoor spaces integrating with nature

Once the renovations are completed, the library will reopen with a renewed commitment to serving its patrons with modernized facilities, expanded services, and a focus on community engagement.
