Hobbs State Park Summer Events Feature Reptiles and More
Hobbs State Park has announced a diverse range of summer events, showcasing the park’s unique wildlife. One of the highlights is the Reptile Rap, scheduled for Saturday, June 29.
Hosted by Park Interpreter Chris, this event is perfect for families with young children and promises an entertaining and educational experience. In addition to reptiles, the park is offering other nature-based activities, such as a Black Bear Hike, a Sensory Hike on Sinking Stream Trail, and a program dedicated to the venomous snakes of Arkansas.

Other exciting events include the Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop and the Art of Fire Building, scheduled for Saturday, June 22.

The park also celebrates the Great American Campout Day on Saturday, June 22, with activities running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On Sunday, June 23, the park is hosting the Friends of Hobbs Speaker Series, focusing on the theme “You Can’t See the Forest for the Fungi.”

The fun continues on Friday, June 28, with Fun & Games in Van Winkle Hollow, followed by a packed Saturday on June 29, featuring programs such as Do You Know Your Arkansas Symbols? and Reader’s Theater: A History of Hobbs.
