Recovery Underway in Little Flock After Devastating Storm
The quiet town of Little Flock is laboring to rise from the ashes. On May 26, a ferocious storm ripped through its landscape, leaving in its wake extensive destruction. Among the most prominent casualties of the tempest was City Hall, a stalwart of community life, now halved and crippled.
As recovery efforts press on, the city operates from a temporary hub – the local fire department building. Undeterred by the scale of the devastation, Mayor Jeff Van Sickler extolled the grit and dedication of the city’s employees, who have worked round-the-clock to revive their community. The Street Department, comprising a mere three members, has received vital support from neighboring cities like Pea Ridge and Springdale.

With the path ahead fraught with challenges, Little Flock is urgently seeking volunteers to assist in the massive debris-clearing effort targeting private properties. As this Arkansas town rebuilds, it remains steadfast in the face of a calamity that could have been much worse.
