Pea Ridge Police Department
The Pea Ridge Police Department is a dedicated law enforcement agency located in the Northwest corner of Arkansas. The department has 25 employees, including full-time, part-time, and administrative staff. With 19 certified police officers on its roster, the agency is committed to serving and protecting the community of Pea Ridge.
Leadership and Structure
At the helm of the Pea Ridge Police Department is Chief of Police Lynn Hahn. The department also employs two lieutenants, including Lieutenant John Langham, who has a broad range of responsibilities under his commands, such as the Criminal Investigations Division, code enforcement, public information officer duties, and the crisis intervention team. This multidisciplinary approach ensures the department stays equipped to handle complex and diverse policing tasks.
Key Milestones and Events
In recent years, the department has faced significant challenges, including the line of duty death of Officer Kevin Dale Apple in 2021, who was killed in a vehicular assault on June 26th. Such incidents have understandably heightened the department’s focus on officer safety and community engagement.

The Pea Ridge Police Department actively engages with the community through various events, such as a CPR class and a bike giveaway, both of which are scheduled for September 12, 2024. Additionally, there are ongoing initiatives, such as the “Pea Ridge is Home” and “Kids in the Kitchen” programs.
