Ozark Quilt Fair Returns to Shiloh Museum

The Ozark Quilt Fair is gearing up to return to the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History for its 46th annual celebration. This year’s event promises to be an exciting gathering for all ages. Taking place on September 7th from 10 am to 2 pm, attendees will be treated to a variety of quilting delights, live music, and more.

Headlining the entertainment is Clarke Buehling’s Carousel Orchestra, adding a lively atmosphere to the proceedings. In addition, the Hawk and Robin food truck will be on site, offering a delicious brunch option for visitors.

For the quilting enthusiasts, the fair will feature a range of activities, including free quilt-themed art-making sessions for youth and families. The event will also include Viewers Choice prizes in both new and antique quilt categories, with prizes totaling up to 0.

One notable aspect of the fair is its inclusive approach, welcoming both antique and new quilts for display and potential sale. Exhibitors are encouraged to include labels with prices and the history of their quilts, adding an educational element to the event.

Registration for exhibitors is open, with a deadline of Wednesday, September 4th by 5 pm. The fair offers a box lunch to each registrant, with additional meals available for pre-order. Security for the quilts will be a shared responsibility, with museum staff and volunteers present but encouraging exhibitors to keep a watchful eye on their work.

The fair promises to be a fun-filled celebration of quilting, community, and art, taking place in the beautiful setting of the Shiloh Museum. Mark your calendars for September 7th and join in on the creative festivities!
