Republicans Nominate Retired Brigadier General for Benton County Quorum Court Seat
Benton County Republicans gathered at Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Center for Health Professions last night to choose a new nominee for the District 4 Quorum Court seat. With Chris Latimer, the incumbent District 4 representative, stepping down to run for mayor of Rogers, the party sought a new candidate to face Democrat Letisha Hinds in the November 5 general election.
In a surprise move, retired brigadier general Jesus Gonzales secured the nomination. Gonzales bring a wealth of leadership and public service experience, having served in the military and held several key civilian roles. He is known for his conservative values and community engagement, making him a strong contender for the seat.
