Second 7-Story Hotel Planned Off Dickson Street in Fayetteville
A new seven-story hotel has been announced to be built off Dickson Street in Fayetteville. This project comes shortly after the plans for a dual-branded Hilton hotel, featuring the Motto and Tempo brands, were revealed on the same street. The new hotel is set to be constructed on a site that once housed the Bank of Fayetteville’s Dickson Street branch, which operated from two train cars.
The original plans for this site involved an at least seven-story, mixed-use hospitality building with a 130-room hotel, 30 to 40 condominiums, and a rooftop bar. This project was led by Ted Belden and Greg House of Ramble North LLC, but the site was sold to Dickson Depot Hotel LLC for .6 million, leading to the revised plans.
The new Hilton hotel, which is expected to be completed by late 2026, will offer exciting amenities including a sports bar, coffee shop, and rooftop bar that will provide a unique view of the University of Arkansas campus. The hotel’s strategic location will allow visitors to easily access various university activities and venues like the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium and Bud Walton Arena.
Interestingly, another seven-story hotel is planned nearby at the southern edge of West Avenue and Dickson Street, which will add further accommodation options for visitors. City officials see the presence of these two hotels as beneficial, as they will enable the hosting of larger conferences and enhance the overall downtown experience.
Both projects are part of an ongoing urban revitalization effort in Fayetteville known as the Ramble, which aims to create a vibrant arts corridor with public spaces and walkways. The Ramble will span 50 acres, from the Fayetteville Public Library to the parking deck on West Avenue, featuring various attractions, gardens, and art installations.
