Roads Reopen Following Gas Leak Incident in Bentonville
The city of Bentonville has announced that roads are now open after a gas leak prompted road closures following a vehicle collision.
The incident occurred when a vehicle hit a gas line near the intersection of Highway 112 and SW Gator Boulevard, leading to emergency crews being dispatched to the scene.
During the incident, traffic in the area was rerouted as hazmat crews monitored the situation and worked to contain the leak. Residents were advised to stay away from the area, and evacuation was not deemed necessary at the time.
Black Hills Energy crews from Fayetteville were dispatched to assist with repairs, and the Bentonville Fire Department’s Hazmat team remained on site to monitor conditions.
Ultimately, the leak was contained, and the roads were reopened after crews completed repairs. This marks the resolution of a potentially hazardous situation in the Bentonville area.
