Walton Family Foundation grants funds to Habitat for Humanity for Benton, Washington County office merger

Walton Family Foundation Supports Habitat for Humanity’s Office Merger

The Walton Family Foundation has granted funding to Habitat for Humanity for the merger of their Benton and Washington County offices in a centralized location in the Springdale-Lowell area. This move is significant for the community as it aims to improve access to housing and enhance the quality of life for residents in the region.

Similar to other initiatives, this grant highlights the foundation’s continued focus on supporting programs that positively impact lives. In the past, the foundation has supported various organizations and projects, investing more than 5 million in initiatives in 2013 alone, primarily in the areas of education reform, freshwater and marine conservation, and improving quality of life in Arkansas and Mississippi.

The merger of the Habitat for Humanity offices will strengthen the organization’s capacity to deliver affordable housing solutions to families in need. This aligns with the Walton Family Foundation’s goals of promoting community development and enhancing the overall well-being of people within their home region.

In other initiatives, the Walton Family Foundation has also provided significant funding to various non-profit organizations in Northwest Arkansas. For instance, a million grant was given to Partners for Better Housing to support mixed-income developments and an innovative shared equity homeownership program, enhancing affordable housing options in the area.

The foundation’s steady approach to grantmaking aims to create lasting change by supporting durable collaborations with grantees and partners, ultimately improving the lives of individuals and communities today and in the future.
