Little Rock man arrested on drug charges, including trafficking fentanyl
Christopher Monroe, a Little Rock man, was sentenced to over 17 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His arrest followed a high-speed chase with Arkansas State Police on May 20, 2023, where he was found with over 300 grams of methamphetamine and 109 grams of fentanyl in his vehicle. Monroe’s extensive criminal history, which included previous convictions for drug-related offenses and firearm possession, contributed to the severity of his sentence. This case underscores the persistent issue of drug trafficking in the U.S. and the critical role of law enforcement in addressing it.
