New market to bring locally grown foods to small Arkansas community
In Northwest Arkansas, the Market Center of the Ozarks will open in early 2024, transforming residents’ access to fresh, locally grown foods. This 45,000-square-foot food hub will support local farmers and food entrepreneurs by providing processing space and resources. The initiative aims to enhance the region’s food systems, ensuring fresh produce is accessible to all through educational opportunities and improved market connections. By fostering collaboration among farmers and community organizations, the center will promote sustainable food practices and healthier diets for local residents.
