HONEY CREEK, IA — Two people died early Sunday in a crash on Interstate 29 outside Honey Creek after their vehicle struck a semi, according to the Iowa State Patrol. Authorities said both occupants were ejected from the vehicle in the collision.
The victims were identified as 38-year-old Lawrence O. Johnson of Kansas and 40-year-old Shannon M. Miller of Oklahoma. They were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
